Modern Dental Technology, Right Here in Park Slope

At Park Slope Dentistry Seventh Avenue, we believe the best care combines personal connection with modern innovation. That’s why our office on Seventh Avenue is equipped with the latest dental technology—tools that help us diagnose more accurately, treat more comfortably, and finish care faster, often in just one visit.

Whether you’re a busy parent, a young professional, or a long-time Brooklyn neighbor, we’ve built our office around one thing: making your experience better every time you visit.

TVs In Every Operatory: For Your Entertainment And Education

Every operatory in our office features a smart TV specially mounted for comfortable viewing from our state-of-the-art A-dec dental chairs.

You’ll love it because streaming your favorite show makes appointments go faster.

We love it because it lets us share x-rays, 3D scans, and intraoral photos, helping you better understand your oral health and make more informed decisions about your treatment.

Same-Day Crowns, Inlays & Onlays: Hours Instead of Weeks

CEREC® Primemill: No Temporaries, No Waiting

Crowns used to mean two appointments, goopy impressions, and weeks of waiting with a temporary that might fall out at the worst time. Now we do it all in one visit.

At Park Slope Dentistry Seventh Avenue, we use the CEREC Primemill by Dentsply Sirona to design and create your permanent crown, right here in our office in just one visit.

And it’s not just for crowns. CEREC also lets us do inlays and onlays the same day. These are often a better choice than a full crown when a tooth is too damaged for a filling but doesn’t need complete coverage. They’re more conservative, but traditionally tricky to get just right when sent to a lab. CEREC changes that. We can do them more reliably, comfortably, and without the hassle of temporaries.

What this means for you:

  • One visit, not two

  • One numbing injection, not two

  • No messy impressions

  • No temporary crown, onlay, or inlay

  • If adjustments are needed, we make them on the spot

We use the same strong, tooth-colored materials trusted by dental labs, but because we do it chairside, it’s faster, more comfortable, and gives you more say in the final result.

Most appointments take 2.5–3 hours, but much of that time, you’re free to relax, catch up on emails, or watch your favorite show on our in-room TVs.

3D Imaging & Digital Scanning: More Precise, Safer Care

Seeing the whole picture, in full 3D

We’ve augmented traditional X-rays and replaced impressions with advanced digital tools that give us a crystal-clear 360° view of your oral health, while making your visit more comfortable.

Our imaging tools include:

CBCT (Cone Beam CT) by Planmeca – Think of it as a 3D x-ray that lets us see much more than traditional imaging techniques. This technology is especially helpful when planning dental implants and root canals or diagnosing hidden problems before they cause pain.

Medit Intraoral Scanner – Say goodbye to those goopy impression trays. We use a small handheld device that captures high-resolution digital scans of your teeth in just minutes.

When combined, these tools allow us to:

  • Pre-plan surgeries with better accuracy

  • Identify nerve pathways and root canal structures

  • Reduce time in the chair and improve recovery

  • Reduce transit time for when cases are manufactured by an outside laboratory

It’s safer, smarter dentistry—with less guesswork and fewer surprises.

See What We See: Intraoral Cameras in Every Room

It’s one thing to hear what’s going on with your teeth. It’s another to see it clearly on-screen.

Our Mouthwatch intraoral cameras let you see what we see—real-time images of your teeth, gums, or a problem spot.

We use them to:

  • Educate you about your dental health

  • Build trust through transparency

  • Improve insurance claim documentation, and thus, better payment outcomes

We show you the images we take on the TV screens in each treatment room, so you can follow along and make informed decisions about your care.

3D Printing: Custom Appliances Made In-House

We use a powerful 3D printer by SprintRay to craft custom dental appliances right here in the office. That means less waiting, more precision, and better-fitting results.

We can 3D print:

  • Nightguards and retainers

  • Temporary crowns and bridges

  • “Daxups” (digital wax-ups) for smile previews

  • Surgical guides for implant placement

  • Diagnostic models

This type of in-office capability gives us more control and flexibility with your treatment timeline, and helps us deliver truly custom results.

L-PRF: Natural Healing with Your Own Cells

For oral surgeries like extractions or implant placement, we offer Intraspin L-PRF (Leukocyte Platelet Rich Fibrin), a completely natural way to boost healing and reduce sensitivity.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Blood Draw: We draw a small sample of your blood.

  2. Centrifuge: Your blood is spun in a specialized centrifuge.

  3. Fibrin Membrane: This creates a fibrin membrane rich in healing fractors

  4. Surgical placement: We place the membrane at the surgical site to support recovery.

L-PRF is like giving your body a head start. It helps minimize post-op discomfort, speed up tissue healing, and reduce complications.

What makes it special? It comes from you, for you.
